After Dark is hired privately for your celebration, so the venue is closed to the public and it is only your guests in the room. There is a fully licensed bar, booth and table seating, and a professional sound system and lighting that can be set to suit the mood of the evening.
Engagements are frequently planned at short notice, so if you have a date in mind, send it across early. We are on Upper George Street in Luton town centre, a few minutes’ walk from Luton railway station, which helps when guests are travelling in from both sides of the family.
How Free Engagement Venue Hire Works
With a wedding to save for, the venue cost is usually the first thing an engaged couple looks at. Venue hire is free for eligible bookings of 50 guests or more, so you pay for what your guests drink at the bar rather than for the room. Bookings of 40 to 49 guests are charged at £500, and there’s a minimum of 40 guests.

We’re on Upper George Street in the centre of Luton, only a few minutes’ walk from Luton railway station — genuinely useful when two families are travelling from different directions.
Guests come to us from Bury Park, High Town, Stopsley and Leagrave, as well as from Dunstable, Houghton Regis, Harpenden and further out. Taxis are readily available in the town centre at the end of the night.
All celebrations take place at our central Luton venue — we don’t operate separate rooms elsewhere in town.
