Baby shower bookings are subject to a minimum of 40 guests. Venue hire is free for eligible bookings of 50 guests or more, and bookings of 40 to 49 guests are charged at £500. If your baby shower is smaller than that, contact the team, and we will tell you honestly what’s possible for your date.

What the Room Looks Like in the Daytime
We will be straightforward: After Dark is a nightclub, and that is the first thing most people wonder about when they are planning a baby shower.
In daylight hours, with the house lighting up, the room reads very differently from how it looks on a Saturday night. You get a large private space with proper seating, a clear area for a cake or gift table, and plenty of room for a balloon arch or backdrop. Lighting is adjustable, so it can be set bright and warm for photographs rather than dark and atmospheric.
The honest way to settle it is to come and see it. Arrange a viewing, and you can judge the space for yourself before committing — we’d encourage it for a baby shower more than for any other booking.

For food — an afternoon tea, a buffet, or bringing your own caterer — raise it when you enquire so we can talk through the options and confirm what is possible. Cakes are usually the centrepiece at a baby shower, so tell us if you’re bringing one and we’ll make sure there is a table set up for it.
A licensed bar is available on site if some guests would like a drink, though it’s entirely optional and most baby showers don’t centre on it.

The private room can be set up seated around tables, as a more relaxed lounge arrangement, or a mix of the two. Baby shower room hire includes exclusive use of the space, seating, and our team handling the setup.
